After years of dreaming, I've finally embarked on a lifelong passion: guiding fishing adventures. Growing up fishing the Great Lakes with my dad, I developed a deep love for the sport and the natural world. His influence sparked my journey by fishing with me as soon as I could walk, and now, I'm grateful life has led me to this opportunity.
My connection to the Panhandle region began back in 1993 when I caught my first redfish from the shore—an experience that ignited my passion for fishing. In 2002, I fell in love with fly fishing, casting lines everywhere from Yellowstone to Tahiti. My fly rods are constant companions, much to my wife's, at times, frustration.
Before moving to Florida, my career was in healthcare. I served as an Army medic during Operation Desert Storm, later transitioning to surgical assisting while studying biology. This background deepened my understanding of marine life and fueled my desire for outdoor adventure. My science and biology background has also led to a joy of studying and sharing my knowledge of marine wildlife. Sharing, teaching, and talking about fish, birds, and the bay environment never gets old. I have learned when to dive deep into the science or keep it light and fun to add a few fish to the boat.
The stress of healthcare eventually led me to seek solace on the water, where nature's beauty and the thrill of fishing eased my mind. Now, I'm excited to share this incredible journey with others. Inspired by the words of the Apostle Peter, "I'm going fishing," I invite you to join me.
